Comforting, affordable Cashmere..

All images above via Pinterest
Style Theory: Everyone deserves a little cashmere in their Autumn wardrobe, it was once an unaffordable luxury but has now become a piece of clothing that we can own thanks to the high street producing it at less eye-watering prices.

My autumn/winter fail safe uniform is a jumper, jeans and trainers, simple, classic and practical. In the last few years I have started buying a (high street) cashmere jumper each season to make my, quite basic look, feel a little more luxurious. A cashmere jumper whispers elegance and feels amazing on. They look just as great with a pair of jeans as with a pleated skirt and boots..

You have to look after cashmere more than most day to day fabrics, all cashmere pieces will bobble if worn with bag (I am guilty of this) make sure you dry flat, and do not over wear in between washes as even the best cashmere does pil a little. And finally watch out for those moths..they love it and are quite happy to put holes in sweaters in a instant! It is the kind of fabric you need to be gentle with and if you are it will last you season after season (I love a cashmere sweater on cooler summer evenings slung over denim shorts)

Here are the best pieces on the high street now..
Boden £99.50
Boden cashmere is worth investing in, firstly it feels amazing, a dense cashmere and is machine washable. I am loving deep green this season, it such a classic, rich colour that is soft and flattering against skin. It looks amazing with metallics (gold or silver metallic pleated skirt) or camel, pink and navy, so many options.
Uniqlo £69.90
A grey cashmere sweater is such a useful item to own, grey is a neutral and can be paired with everything from tulle skirts to smart navy work trousers to jeans. This jumper will work hard for you and Uniqlo cashmere is renowned for being one of the best.
Asos £95
I adore everything about this sweater, the colour, the shape, the slouchy fit. It will add a beautiful pop of colour to your winter wardrobe.
Wyse London £180
More expensive but I can vouch for the quality of this sweater as I have it, it is beautiful, soft cashmere and the leather star patches give it an extra style twist, I wear mine all the time dressed down or dressed up with my Topshop gold pleated skirt and black boots. A real luxurious item.
M&S £75
One of the first high street stores to introduce affordable cashmere, M&S does the luxury knit well, not the thickest of jumpers but it does look great under a jacket for work or to tuck in a skirt as it is a fitted look. Loving red this season, it is a surprisingly versatile colour and looks stunning with blue denim crop kick flares and heeled boots.
H&M £69.99
H&M are producing amazing styles of cashmere jumpers this season, this soft powder pink is top of my list.
H&M £69.99
Loving the frill detail on this sweater, utterly luxurious with an on trend frill twist..perfect.
H&M £49.99
This is a more relaxed sweatshirt style, the perfect weekend jumper, also comes in a beautiful powder pink colour..love.
&Other Stories £95
The most beautiful buttery cream colour, this jumper oozes class and sophistication, perfect styled with winter whites..
Uniqlo £69.90
Because a black polo neck is a wardrobe staple, where with a kilt style skirt (Zara has a beautiful one) and ankle length boots - and bare legs if you can stand the cold!
Jigsaw £169
The ultimate in cashmere luxury, this breton style poloneck is 100% cashmere and looks stunning on, a big investment piece but again timeless so you can wear season after season.
Who in your opinion does the best high street cashmere, do you have a fail safe go to store/brand, as always I would love to hear your thoughts and opinions, until next time Fran xxx

Chic, Parisienne Looks the Hush way...

Style Theory: Every Autumn/Winter I yearn to dress a little more Parisienne, I adore the chic, pared back look that is effortlessly stylish. The laid back part I can do but the 'relaxed, sophisticated look' I find a little trickier, trying to not look scruffy whilst rocking bedhead and a jumper and jeans.

My answer this season is Hush, they have perfected the French style, beautifully cut pieces that are easy to wear, flattering without being too shouty. From cashmere boyfriend jumpers to buttery soft leather leggings to elegant maxi dresses, all whispering elegance at the same time as being wearable crossing seamlessly from day to evening.

For daytime my Autumn/Winter uniform is a jumper and jeans, the Love jumper ticks the slogan jumper box in a beautiful, subtle way. It looks great with jeans but would also look stunning with Hush leather leggings and white trainers. The sweater elevates a day to day school run look to something special.

Add the Short Eskimo Parka on the top for a snuggly and chic winter coat, the parka is lined with beautiful petrol blue faux fur and the sumptuous dark blue fur lined hood gives the coat a luxurious, fashion twist whilst maintaining it's classic parka look..J'adore.. I have worn this coat every day since I ordered it and have been stopped every time I have worn it by someone to ask me where it is from, the sign of a good coat!

Coat - Hush Short Eskimo Parka £150
Jumper - Hush Love Jumper £79
Jeans - Gap (available in sale in store)
Trainers - Golden Goose Deluxe Brand £310

Moving on to a pared back Parisian evening look, a Hush silk camisole paired with jeans and flats is an easy way to take the look up a notch. The camisole is 100% silk and utterly luxurious, it fits beautifully, it looks elegant and quietly expensive. It is the perfect top to dress up jeans for a night out, sophisticated but with a nonchalant edge, perfectly Parisian.

Throw the Short Eskimo Parka over the top for a perfectly pared back but slightly edgy look..this will be my Christmas going out look and will see me well into the summer...

Camisole - Hush Maria Silk Camisole £80
Parka - Hush Short Eskimo Parka £150
Jeans - Gap (available in sale in store) £14.99
Shoes - Zara (old season) similar here

Here are few more pieces I have on my Autumn Winter Hush wish list - perfectly Parisian, beautiful fabrics and so wearable...
Hush Cashmere Roll Neck Jumper £200
The ultimate is luxury basics, the Hush cashmere roll neck is a timeless piece that can be worn year after year and slotted into any existing Autumn wardrobe. it would look beautiful with a gold pleated skirt and black ankle boots.
Hush Azalea £65
The smock shirt dress, is the ultimate in pared back style, wear with heeled ankle boots and a biker jacket for the perfect Autumn look. It will take you from work to weekend in one easy step.
Hush Chambray Jumpsuit £80
I adore a denim jumpsuit, endlessly useful, you do not have to give your outfit one moments thought, pull this on, add a pair of Gucci-esque loafers and you have a perfect, cool look.
Hush Onyx Leather Jacket £280
Because a beautiful, buttery soft leather biker jacket will last you a lifetime...

Are you a fan of the cool Parisienne dress code, or do you like a more eclectic look (which I must admit to loving too) What pieces have you got your eye on for the perfect Autumn/Winter looks, has anything from Hush caught your eye? As always I would love to hear your thoughts and comments, until next time Fran xxx

Winter Warmers...

All images above via Pinterest
Style Theory: The weather has turned, it feels so much colder now, the perfect time to invest in a beautiful, cosy jumper to snuggle up in. I like an oversize jumper, perfect to wear now with ankle length jeans and trainers and in the winter pair with chunky ankle boots. This year any colour goes from neutral to dark green to warm red to bright pink.

They can be paired with a pleated skirt and heels for a smart/casual work look, or wear with boyfriend jeans and heels for an evening out. I can never have enough jumpers, I wear them every day in the winter and here are the best on the high street now...
Topshop £34

I saw this jumper on Pinterest and had to track it down as it really caught my eye. I love the neon stripe down the side, it looks far more expensive than it's high street price. I would pop a vest top underneath and wear with skinny ankle length jeans and my stan smith trainers.

Zara £29.99

I know this sweater has been seen all over instagram but that is because it is gorgeous and at £29.99 pretty hard to resist. Perfect for casual or dress up for an laid back going out look with boyfriend jeans and leopard print heels..

Me+Em £149

Me+Em knitwear is pretty exceptional, beautifully cut and there is nothing more luxurious than a cream jumper. I love a polo neck that stands up, I find, especially in cream it really flatters my face and looks elegant with jeans and ankle boots.

Zara £29.99

Perfectly oversized and slouchy, this would be the ideal weekend jumper with a pair of skinny jeans and, dare I say it, UGGs (the really low style) yes I do still sneak my Uggs on of an evening as they are just so comfy - watch my little sister now disown me!!

Topshop £36

My sister bought this sweater this weekend and it looks fab on, not too tight and fits beautifully at the shoulders.

Zara £29.99

You cannot go wrong with a breton jumper and this one looks great on..

H&M £14.99

Dark green is the perfect autumnal colour to wear, it looks stunning with a camel coat, jeans and trainers.
Oasis £36

I am a sucker for a puff sleeve and cable knit detail. I would size up on this one size as I think it would look better bigger rather than a neat fit.
H&M £29.99

This lace trim is so flattering when worn over leather leggings, or skinny jeans, it skims over hips I would wear with stan smith trainers and tanned ankles for a cool look.

Zara £25.99

I am officially obsessed with all of this outfit, I adore the jumper with the frill shoulders, such a useful item to have in your wardrobe. But more than that I love this tartan skirt, it is out of stock on the website so the hunt is on, but how fab does it look with the sweater and those boots?!

Boden £55.60

A navy jumper is so useful in a winter wardrobe, navy is less harsh than black against the face and it blends beautifully with so many autumnal colours. This would look great with a pair of navy culottes and heels for work, or with skinny jeans and wellies for a countryside walk.
&Other Stories £55

The sleeves on this sweater are stunning, it looks so designer-esque - adore it..

&Other Stories £65

This sweater is grey with flecks of silver running through it, it is the perfect way to add a little sparkle into your day to day wear. Beautifully oversized, would look great with leather leggings and trainers.

So there is my round up of the best jumpers I have spotted so far on the high street. I live in them in the autumn and winter so will be stocking up. I have also just started a blog post on the best cashmere jumpers that will be heading your way soon, so many to choose from at all different pricepoints some fab high street brands and we all deserve a spot of cashmere in our wardrobe, pure luxury..
As always I would love to hear your thoughts and comments, until next time Fran xxx
