Cherry Picking

Blouse - Marc by Marc Jacobs @Very Exclusive UK now £172
Jeans - Zara £17.99 (sale)
Shoes - Zara (sold out)
Bag - Spain - love this one
Bandana (in hair) - Topshop
Style Theory: Victoriana and cherries...yes please! Love this Marc by Marc Jacobs top from Very Exclusive uk, it is beautifully made with intricate lace and amazing puff sleeves, fits like a dream and will be worn non-stop by me this summer, Autumn and winter. Red is becoming my new pink....

A few extra items I have my eye on that I am hoping will complete my summer wardrobe...
Isabel Marant Etoile @Matches now £117
I have this in the dress version in black and it looks fab on, frilly and frivolous. I think this white tops would be fail safe, look amazing with jeans or denim shorts or the denim skirt below. A real beautiful item to own.
Urban Outfitters Vintage Re-Made Levis mini skirt £40
So it seems as with all things 90s it is time to ditch the denim shorts and get back with the old Levis mini skirt (I used to live in mine back in the day!)I think I will buy this mainly for holiday wear as a denim skirt is so useful to wear to go the beach and as where we go is fairly casual in the evening, it would look great with a pretty white top and flip flops.
Mango Jumpsuit £17.99
I have ordered this after seeing on the very cool A Mother's Edit, not sure how it will look on me but I love the idea of this, I will let you know!
Mango Sandals now £17.99
Think I may 'need' these Chloe dupes - they look fab on and are very this season, the only problem is I am not sure if I will be mad on them next year?! They look incredibly chic and cool, if they are still in Mango next time I am in town they will be mine!

Obviously there is swimwear to add for my holiday, I will let you know my favourite pieces next week. Hopefully there will be some sun but for now jeans and cherry tops are where it is at for me. What have you bought for summer so far this year, any good sale buys? As always I would love to hear your thoughts and comments, until next time Fran xxx

Loafing around....

Style Theory: The perfect in-between shoe, the loafer. When you want to cast off your boots but it is not warm enough for sandals the loafer will be your style go to. Gucci loafers have been flooding the streetstyle scene and look amazing on, but you don't have to fork out the £500 for this style as there are plenty of beautiful loafers on the highstreet for a fraction of the price. For now lets just start at the top with a pair of delicious Guccis then I will move on to the completely affordable, beautiful, high street versions. Remember these loafer 'style rules' and you will never get it wrong, they look fabulous with dresses and shorts but when wearing with trousers/jeans/dungarees make sure your trousers are cropped to ankle length and you are showing a bit of ankle, they make them look less masculine and far more stylish...
Gucci Loafers £405
The original, buttery soft leather, super sleek. Seen on almost every blogger these loafers hit the fashion shoe world hard last year and have now filtered down to the high street. They look fab with ankle length jeans skinny jeans and slouchy/ silk tops.

Gucci Backless Loafers @Matches £380

I just adore gold shoes at the moment and if money were no object these would be mine, I love the gold tone and the backless look.

Gucci Horsebit Loafer £410

These are the dream, classic, chic and after seeing the image below on Pinterest last year I have been searching for this exact pair. Time to ebay my life away to save up to get a pair..

House of Spring £185

I have these bow loafers and absolutely adore them, they are designed in London, handmade in Portugal and are beautiful. They are the perfect mix of chic and on trend and are super flattering on, the leather takes a little wearing in but when you have you will wear these shoes for years and years to come. Wear them with all black below or like I did (also below) with bright coat and monochrome top...

Topshop have jumped on the bandwagon and have come up trumps with some stunning loafers, the ones I have selected below have leather uppers (I really do prefer leather shoes if I can afford them, they wear so much better and are better when not wearing socks)  and are a decent price.
Topshop Block Heel Loafer £56

I am a fan of a red shoe, they really make a statement and you can keep the rest of your summer outfit neutral like Olivia Palermo below..

Topshop Pointed Loafer £39

Love these, they are so Nicolas Kirkwood, are leather and such a good price, the perfect summer work shoe. They would add a hint of artistic flair to the most plain outfits. The look below is a fabulous work look with an edge..

Topshop Karter Loafer £65

Naturally I am obsessed with these loafers, not the faint hearted but I have ordered. I love the bright pink colour, they will look amazing with a denim dress, add a punch of colour to a black and white outfit or just wear with a pair of jeans and plain t-shirt.

Topshop Karter Loafer £62

A luxury looking pair of black loafers at an affordable price.

Topshop Kube Loafers £59

A real classic, Spanish style loafer, these light tan loafers will flatter especially when worn with ankle length jeans, dresses or shorts, the nude colour elongates your legs. Made of leather these are for the classically, chic lady.

Topshop Silver Mule £59

A fabulous alternative the full mule, these will be easy to slip on and go and look glamorous as you walk around in them. Wear them low key with jeans and tee or ramp up the metallic look and wear with a metallic skirt for a real statement outfit..

Office Dapper Loafers £65

For some true red loafers, these Office shoes are the perfect colour and shape. Let them do the talking keep your outfit simple.

I love the look of red shoes with a pair of jeans and white shorts, easy, chic and stylish.

Another trend that is both practical and cool, I love these easy to wear looks, so much better than stilletos being 'in'. The more I am looking at the pink Topshop loafers the more I think I need to order them, they look so much fun and I really believe fashion is about fun, taking little risks with your style and stepping a little out of your comfort zone, it always is worth it. Loafers are the perfect 'Fashion Lift' to add to your wardrobe.

Have you bought any loafers so far this year? Have you invested in the trend or are you going for the less expensive high street option. As always I would love to hear your thoughts and comments, until next time Fran xxxx

Spotlight on Warehouse

Streetstyle photos via Pinterest
Style Theory: I had not been into Warehouse for a while but whilst I was in London last week I popped in and was excited to see so many beautiful items, from dresses to cool blouses, their new collection looked good.

Here are my favourite pieces with a little inspiration on how to style..

The Gingham Shirt
Gingham Blouson Blouse £39
A gorgeous blouson blouse, in this season's gingham. It has a tighter, almost belt like section at the bottom that makes it perfectly blouson. I tried in on (below) this is my normal size but I would be tempted to size up as it was slightly tight across the bottom. It is lovely!

How to style..

Style with 'Mom' jeans, a belt - belts are back in (love the Gucci one above but it is too spendy!) Throw on a trench and a pair of loafers..perfect.

The Dress
Silk Floral Bird Print Dress £95
Oriental Floral Midi £59
Floral midi dresses are having a moment. Perfect to wear during the day with trainers and a biker or denim jacket. Or for a wedding or formal event wear with a pair of bright coloured heels (pick out one of the colours in the print to match) add a contrasting, unusual bag (again one or a couple of the colours in the print)

Love the strappy shoes, fun clutch and matching sunglasses, a perfect look.

The Shirt
Ticking Stripe Grandad Blouse £35
A good basic shirt, perfect for work with blue chinos and flat gold pointed shoes, for the weekend pair with jeans and trainers and in the summer with shorts..see inspiration looks below..

Loving it with the long shorts..

The Denim Shirt
Denim Ruffle Denim Shirt £45
A twist on the basic denim shirt, I like the victoriana style neck, it looks a little different and will look great under a maxi dress or pair of dungarees.

The Ruffle Blouse
Jacquard Ruffle Front Blouse £25
It is all about ruffles this year, this is such a good prices, a way to dip your toe in the trend without speeding too much.

The Sweater
Woven ruffle sleeve jumper £45
I would size up on this sweater and wear a little on the large side. It will look fab with black skinny jeans and Stan Smith trainers for a cool laid back Spring look.

The Metallic Skirt
Metallic Leather Skirt £195
This is super expensive but I had to include it as it is pretty amazing. Metallics continue to reign supreme, this skirt ticks all the boxes, metallic, leather, a-line - very cool. Perfect to dress down with a grey sweater and trainers for an edgy daytime look.

The Shoes
Suede Buckled Heel Shoe £55
I have bought similar sandals to these the last few summers, the straps are super flattering on and they look great with a blouse, oversized boyfriend jeans with a turn up.

I love a plain top, baggy jeans and a coloured shoe, it looks so eye catching and nonchalantly dressy.

So there are a few pieces that caught my eye but have a look through the 'Tops' section on the website there are loads of fab blouses and shirts.

Are you a fan of Warehouse, have you checked them out recently? Until next time Frances xxx
