Jumper - Bella Freud £290 Dungarees - Asos £65 Shoes - Gucci |
Style Theory: I love a novelty Christmas jumper but I do prefer a jumper I can wear at Christmas and for the months following too. It needs to be sparkly, festive but fit in with my winter wardrobe. To be worn for Christmas drinks with jeans and heels, on Christmas day with a skirt and ballet pumps or on Boxing day with cashmere joggers and Uggs... and through the year with my jeans and trainers
So without further ado here are my top sweaters..
Bella Freud £280 |
The bell sleeves, the gold detailing, this is the ultimate chic Christmas jumper.
Bella Freud £290 |
Red, super christmassy but also looks just a good with denim shorts and white trainers in the summer, a true all year around investment.
Selfish Mother x Save the Children £45 |
Half the proceeds of the sale of this jumper goes to Save the Children, so not only is this a beautiful, tasteful (not just for Christmas) sweater, you know some of your money is going to a good, needy cause.
Hush £85 |
This is the most perfect Christmas day sweater, it so soft and cosy, wear on Christmas day with a black tulle skirt (I love this one from New Look £20) and heels. Or on boxing day wear with leather leggings or coated jeans and Chloe style boots, wrap a red cashmere scarf around you for a chic and festive look.
J Crew £158 |
This does not have a hint of Christmas about it but would be so lovely to wear (or add to your Christmas list) for Christmas day.
&other stories £65 |
I have featured this sweater before but I just cannot resist &Other Stories knitwear, it is so good, the perfect slouchy Christmas sweater.
Zara £19.99 |
Just seen this and have purchased (ordered a M and L - just incase!) shimmery, just add baggy comfy Christmas day jeans, sparkly socks and heels.
Oliver Bonas £45 |
This jumper looks so more expensive than it's £45 price tag, a gorgeous midnight blue, style with a silver pleated skirt and trainers for a cool look.
Sugarhill Boutique at John Lewis £44 |
Subtle but very pretty, could be worn through the year.
Hobbs £89 |
Again, perfect tucked into a silver pleated skirt with heels.
So paired back and maybe a little killjoy on the fun, novelty Christmas jumpers front but to be honest I am so stuck for space and if I am going to buy a jumper I need to wear it a lot and make it work hard for me in my wardrobe.
Have you bought a Christmas jumper yet? Have you gone the whole hog, Santa, reindeers lights etc or are you like me and like it paired back? As always I would love to hear your thoughts and comments, until next time Fran xxx
